NEW BRAND, an Anglo-Italian band performing a song with French lyrics. Following on from the success of their debut single Insect, Dans Le Métro is a deeper, more atmospheric work anchored by some intricate drum programming, which propels along the dark and beautifully reflective track. Dans le Métro delves into the isolation that we might be feeling not just from Covid but from the impact of Brexit and the pulling up of the drawbridge to our friends in Europe.

The video created in collaboration between singer Luis Ruocco, dancer Bianca Falco and Video maker Sam Freeman takes us on a journey into the underground and reflects on our feelings of being alone but together in a time of unlimited electronic connection but deep physical isolation. This could be a soundtrack to our times, but also a warning that isolation is unsustainable and the fruits of collaboration and real time connection are life-affirming.
